ON MY BOOKSHELF

These arrived today from Amazon.com. They are a great addition to my collection of historical fashion reference materials.

I must admit, reading is not one of my favorite activities. However, since I've been learning German I have grown to enjoy it a bit more. Pride and Prejudice is absolutely one of my favorite movies. I think I've seen almost every film version. While visiting the bookstore over the weekend, I got an overwhelming urge to read the Jane Austen novel...in German! Yeah, what was I thinking when I could have easily purchased the lovely boxed set containing all of Jane's novels in English. I guess I'm feeling pretty confident. I have started reading and I am getting the gist of what's going on. It probably helps that I am very familiar with the movie. I'm reading a chapter or two from the book everyday and I'm determined to finish it.....in 2010!
